Lisa was born and raised in the Bay Area of California, Mountain View and Morgan Hill respectively. She is the recipient of two graduate degrees, and numerous professional awards. Additionally, she received the “Award of Excellence” for her literary work on Slave Ship, an analysis essay. This piece is included in her first published poetry book, Musings of the Heart.
